Local Nature Recovery Strategy 2025/26
Overview
We would like to hear your views on the draft Somerset Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). We have provided this survey for you to give your feedback.
We recommend that you read the draft Strategy before filling in this survey. All consultation material is available from the consultation webpage, including the Local Habitat Map.
The survey is split into five sections:
Section A - About you
Section B - The draft Statement of Biodiversity Priorities
Section C - Somerset LNRS potential measures mapping - The Local Habitat Map
Section D - Anything else you would like to tell us about the LNRS
Section E – Equalities Monitoring
You can answer all or as many of the questions as you like. If you would rather not provide feedback on a section or question, just move on to the next one. Please remember to click through to the end of the survey to submit your response.
This survey typically takes 10 - 20 minutes to complete. The exact timing depends on the level of detail that you wish to add.
To comment on the draft Local Habitat Map, please leave comments directly on the map tool embedded within this survey.
Most questions in the survey provide a link to the information you will need to help you respond to the question.

You can find out more on our webpage including further documents about how we created the drafted LNRS documents.
This survey provides an opportunity to help shape and finalise this exciting new strategy before it is published later in 2025. So have your say on ending the decline of nature across the county, and supporting its recovery.
